In the midst of preparing for this coming Sunday I have a few bits of enjoyable news to share.
Eternal Life Dealing comes in a variety of ways
A couple weeks ago someone in our body shared a request for a manger to put on display at World Serve to portray the true story of Christmas; another person in our body built that manger and it is now on display; even greater, it made the Peace Arch News for Dec 4th, I believe it is on page 11. The priesthood of the believer takes a variety of paths. I have wanted to make sure to continue to communicate that God works with and through who we are in sharing his light.
Christmas Hampers and Blessing
- Lisa will share more on Sunday about how we can participate in blessing three families through hampers this year
- Nancy Dale is once again asking we gather nice used items of clothing and other gifts to share with students at her school. These can be for any age and will help the students give gifts to loved ones; again she will share more on Sunday
I would like to encourage all of us to try and make it to all services this Advent season and bring friends. Our theme is Great Expectations and will have a bent towards treasure seeking in it. the final advent message will actually be Dec 28th and include how Jesus unwrapped the treasure of his own call and purpose.
Dec 21st will highlight the Children's ministry with a program and treats to follow.
An excerpt from this coming week's message:
What we experienced last week as a body on a small scale is the same thing God was doing on the grandest scale In Christ. He was laying out clues waiting for his people to pick them up. They began to pick them up about 500 BC.
