I desire to bring all who read this into my spiritual retreat but that can't really happen (unless you read the book) for I can't summarize how the Holy Spirit ministered to me through the entire book in just a few short lines. So let me give a small tidbit. God has not and is not giving up on his good creation, redemption's song is sung throughout the pages of scripture alongside the horrible truth of evil. Ultimately the song will swallow evil up and heal every last bit of it, in me, in you, in governments, in culture, in creation; leading us to a fully restored creation that has always been good even though marred. Our call is to find our place in the story of redemption and sing our part in the song.
One quote from Wright's book found on pp. 115,116.
"To imagine a community of beauty and healing is to take a large step toward seeing in our mind's eye the world which God intends to bring about through the death and resurrection of Jesus. This is the world toward which we are to direct our Spirit-given energies."
