We are very thankful for a great visit with Sarah in Singapore. She is going to a large and very active Anglican church that has 8 services on Sunday.
It was also wonderful to see several former OMF colleagues. One couple, Freddy and Caroline Lim, are now serving at St. Andrew’s Cathedral in English and Hokkien ministry. It was a privilege to speak at their Hokkien service in Taiwanese Hokkien. The cathedral has 16 services on Sunday in many different languages – a reflection of both the cultural diversity and spread of the gospel in Singapore.
Meanwhile, back in Taiwan... A door is opening for us to tell stories at a local elementary school every Thursday morning. We will be going to meet the teacher and the class next week.
I am going to visit Mr. Su in hospital again today (last letter). He is not doing well. Pray that I can talk and pray with him.
Please continue to pray for John. He is learning some difficult life lessons right now and he needs to find a job.
There is a big typhoon bearing down on Taiwan. It will be strongest here in the south and should hit us Saturday and Sunday.
With love from Taiwan,
David and Ruth
